This cowboy tiler did not cause any life threatening issues but did cause a lot of tears and strife to the homeowner. The tiler presented himself as a professional, had a website, lots of finished shots of his work and was hired to tile a bathroom where we were asked to do the first and second fix for the plumbing and heating. We removed the old bathroom, installed the new mixer shower, tub, toilet and sink and left for a week to allow the tiler to do his work. On our return we were stunned at the poor workmanship and basic layout mistakes that he had made.

We couldn’t finish our work until the tiling was complete and the homeowner couldn’t afford to have it done again. We threw in a few days labour and with the homeowners help we drilled out the broken and poorly laid tiles and re-laid them. The situation that had once looked REALLY bad was corrected. Once we re-grouted we got on with our own finishing work and the job was completed and looked good.
