Description: Complete removal of an old balanced flue system boiler, storage cylinder and feed & expansion tanks from the loft. The system was replaced with a high flow combination boiler. The homeowner also took the opportunity to replace all of the radiators at the same time as the system was drained down.

Description: The client had purchased a new hob and a double gas oven to replace the current hob and single fan assist oven. The carcass had to be removed in order to facilitate the new cooker and we had to modify the work surface in order for the hob to fit. We had to add a circuit and isolator for the new double cooker. Once the wiring was in place we hooked up the hob and then put the new cooker in place everything was tested.

This is another job left over from the tale end of last year. The original problem was an immersion hot water heater that wasn’t producing hot water since a previous plumber showed up, tightened the heater and caused a short circuit. We showed up and could not find an immediate problem with one exception. The thermostats were set to 70 degrees and had been set to 80 degrees when the previous bloke called ’round. We set the thermostats to 60 which is high enough to prevent legionella and low enough to help prevent scalding.

Description: We undertake a lot of this type of work and this an average job. We usually go in just after the partial wall has been completed and add our wiring and pipe work while everything is accessible. Once complete we do not appear again until the room is water tight. We complete the work we need to do and complete all of our testing. Once complete the decorators are usually the next in to make the finishing touches. This conservatory was put in by our friends at Tameside Trade Frames.

After the radiator pipe and a floor sander collided in a high speed sanding accident the home owner called their emergency plumbing contractor who showed up and capped the leak. After continued leaks and three more trips they finally sorted it out. We were called in to mount and hook up the replacement radiator to the existing pipe work. After a bit of adjustment we managed to get it all hooked up, bled and working.

We undertook a pre-purchase inspection on this house for the new owner. At that time we recommended a full re-wire due to countless safety issues in the electrical systems. We also recommended changing the boiler while all the floors were taken up. We completed the rewire and the heating system upgrade in two weeks. The house is now safe and warm.
