Description: This bathroom renovation was part of a larger refurb…we practically rebuilt the entire house! Our client had purchased the property and had always planned on having all the work completed before she moved in. Although we’re only showing the bathroom here we also installed a new boiler, radiators and relocated the boiler from the kitchen to the upstairs airing cupboard, we completely gutted the kitchen and installed a new kitchen including all electrical work, we cleaned up the rest of the properties electrics and fit a new updated consumer unit, many walls and ceiling were repaired and re-plastered, the outside gutters and facia were repalced and the entire house was decorated and carpeted when complete. continue

Bad Builders

Firstly, my apologies for not posting last weeks award until today. It seems that I didn’t press the Publish button last week.
This particular property has been winning awards for poor workmanship for over a year. We keep getting called back in for one problem, get it sorted, and then several months later get called in for something else. This week was another issue with the central heating system and another wet patch showing up on the ceiling. There may also be a hive of bees in the flat roof too! continue

Sometimes you just can’t make up a better story than what happens in real life. Case in point. We were finishing off a small bit of joinery from the previous weeks work list. Since our last visit the tenant had decided to vacate the property with no notice and gave the keys back to the landlord the day before we attended. While on site working I notice, and smell, the toilet which has been left in a state by the tenant. A gift perhaps! When I try and flush however I discover that the water has been turned off. Guess what happens next! continue

Description: We started planning this bathroom for our client two years ago. By removing the old system boiler andd hot water cylinder from the airing cupboard in the bathroom and relocating the boiler from the kitchen to the loft we were able to expand the bathroom giving us enough room to install a seperate shower area. The owner also decided that she wanted a wet room instead of a shower stall so that’s what we built for her. continue

When called to attend a small building job this week the tenant at the property was complaining about plumbing issues. We were told that the toilet had been overflowing for some time but they had fixed it. Now they had a very loud noise happening as well when they flushed the loo. continue
