Description: The owner of this Chinatown penthouse required several items putting right as well as completing some work the original contractor had never finished. We went over and found that the Vent-Axia Powered Heat Recovery Unit hadn’t worked in some time. When they changed the fuse the new one blew instantly. This penthouse unit also had a couple of Velux ceiling units installed. Unfortunetly the motorised blinds had never been hooked up and the extra low voltage cables were hanging lose. There were also some low voltage recessed lights that weren’t working. The recessed lights and electric blind controls were sorted out in half a day. The Vent-Axia Unit was a different story and could not be worked on in its little hiding space. continue

Description: The remit for this job was to replace the electric built under oven with a like-for-like and to replace the electric hob with a gas hob. Unfortunately they didn’t have a gas pipe to the kitchen. We were able, after some time, to find an old hatch with which to gain access to under the kitchen where we were able to run new pipe work behind the kitchen units without having to dismantle the kitchen. continue

Description: Our client was in desperate need of a new cooker and hob as the old ones were not only worn out but illegally installed and unsafe (previously a Cowboy of the Week Award). She also wanted to add and extractor to the kitchen as the old one had stopped working some time ago and did not extract outside. As the kitchen is small the heat build up is overwhelming. continue

Description: A granny flat, an old house, a builder and a lot of issues surround this job we undertook in Ashton. The building works ending up taking about six months and in that time the owner had no heat, no running water5, no gas and only a few utility plugs that the workers weren’t using at night. My advice is NEVER live on a building site no matter how economic you think it is! Our job was to install the required unvented cylinder to supply one full kitchen, one bed sit kitchen, one full bathroom, the bedsit bathroom and two en suites as well as supply enough heating for this VERY large property. continue

Description: Our client is in the process of moving into a new home and really wanted to install a new range cooker as the centre piece of the kitchen. We removed the electric oven and hob as well as units and part of the work surface. The dual fuel cooker they wanted was in the end an extremely snug fit but we managed to re-adjust the carcases to suit. The electrics needed the most adjustment as everything was in the way of the new cooker. Once the new matching splashback and extractor are in place this will be the centre piece they want. continue

Description: Our client wanted to install a slimline dishwasher in their kitchen. With little room for adding units it was decided to remove the wide unit and replace it with the narrow unit thus leaving just enough room for the dishwasher. After some careful curring and placement the units was ready to fit. The plumbing and electrical were modified to suit and the unit was running within a few hours. continue

Description: After a British Gas bloke used some interesting sales techniques to one of their lifelong clients the jig was up!! The high pressure sales technique was not appreciated. They received our name from an acquaintance whom we’ve worked for in the past and we stopped by to see if we could help. continue
