Description: The owner of this home had already decided that he wanted a combi boiler installed before we arrived. They currently had a system boiler and showed us the one he wanted from a manufacturers brochure. We discussed several other options and the fact that the least expensive boiler wouldn’t necessarily produce the expected results. In the end we decided on a different manufacturer with a warranty that was four years longer than the one he had picked and a boiler which produced more litres per minute as required for his needs. Due to lack of storage space we found another location to install the boiler so that when we removed the tanks from the airing cupboard the entire space would now be usable.

Description: Although this boiler was working it was on its last legs. The owner also requested that we mount the boiler as high up as it could go to allow for a later kitchen remodel. Due to safety issues and building regulations we managed (just barely) to get the boiler up high enough for the new kitchen work surfaces to extend from wall to wall.
Technically it could all be repaired, but why so complicated? The rats nest of cables should have been neatly installed with the relay properly mounted. The end result was that we deemed the installation unsafe as it did not comply many current (and older) regulations. The installation has since been re-designed to operate safely. continue
When called in to find out why this back boiler was no longer heating the house we traced the problem to the electrics. When we pulled up the floorboards we were met with the nasty smell of stagnant water under the house. The water was about two inches deep and laying in the middle was the connector to the pump. The connector has obviously put up a big fight but in the end the system shorted out. continue

Description: The old gas fire had a slight gas leak that could not be repaired due to lack of available parts. The client found the new fire they wanted and after tessting the old flue we installed it. The installation was straight foward and only took about an hour.

Description: Our client had already purchased the new fire and asked us to see if they could install it into the existing chimney. Fortunately the location previously had a back boiler and was in good shape with the proper gas pipe work already in place. The flue and terminal also looked good so we proceeded. The fire really made a difference to the room and looks fantastic. continue

Description: A complete bathroom refurbishment was the requirement here. In fact the homeowners went away for a week while we completed the work. We started the rip out as they were departing and by the time they arrived home we were done with the exception of a few trim pieces. The bathroom boasts underfloor heating too! continue
