Description: Another overpriced British Gas quote provided the fuel necessary for our new client to look elsewhere to have her boiler replaced. British Gas labeled the boiler as dangerous because it had an asbestos flue. The system worked perfectly well and although it was old it was working and was safe to use. For peace of mind however the client decided to change it as they wanted to remove all of the old tanks from the loft. It is a smallish property and we chose a high efficiency Viessmann 100 26kW to do the job. As we are Viessmann trained the client received an additional two year warranty on top of the standard three years giving her an incredible five year warranty (parts and labour) on the new boiler. The heat exchanger already comes with a ten year warranty! The majority of the job was standard with the exception of the condensate removal which did require a pump. The pump can be seen under the boiler in the slide show. We had to pull up all of the carpeting and remove the bathroom basin as the drainage tube had to be routed under the floor. We spliced it into the waste pipe from the basin and then put everything back in place and kicked the carpet back down. Everything was set up and tested and the homeowner now has hot water on tap and heating as required.

B.T.W. We also managed to do the entire job for half the price quoted by British Gas. Not bad!
[[Show as slideshow]]

Description: The house required a new boiler and the client also wanted it moved to the basement area and out of the kitchen. There were some challenges as we had to use a very long flue run to get the system hooked up but we were able to accomplish the job as requested. We cleaned up some other issues that we found along the way and the house is now very cosy and fuel efficiency has gone way up.
